Noticeboard

NHS 111 (out of hours)
Once the Surgery is closed you can call NHS 111 when you need medical help fast but it's not a 999 emergency, whatever the time. Calls to NHS 111 are free from landlines and mobiles.

Test Results
You may telephone the surgery for test results Monday to Friday after 11 o'clock.

Cancelling your Appointment
If you are unable to attend an appointment with one of the doctors or nurses, please telephone to cancel your appointment.

By giving us as much notice as you can you are helping us to make sure that someone else is given your slot.

Out of area registration scheme

The out of area registration scheme launched by the government is voluntary and this practice has chosen not to participate at this time. This decision will be reviewed periodically. This means we are not able to register patients living outside our catchment area, regardless of whether they have been registered with us in the past.

Prescriptions

pills_2Practice staff are not allowed to accept requests for repeat prescriptions over the telephone as this is open to both error and prescription fraud.

Repeat prescriptions are produced by computer and when re-ordering you must ensure you use the repeat slip issued to you at the chemist when you collected your previous medication.

Your repeat prescriptions will be ready for collection from the surgery or pharmacy within 2 full working days.

For our housebound patients, our local pharmacists are happy to pick up and deliver prescriptions.

Patients wishing to collect their medication from Lloyds Market Square, Lloyds Sun Street or Glennons Chemists must ensure that the re-order slip shows this information otherwise the repeat prescription will be held at reception for collection by the patient.

To maintain patient confidentiality and to prevent prescriptions going into the wrong hands our staff may ask to see identification prior to handing out prescriptions.

If you ask someone else to collect your prescription on your behalf the surgery must have your consent.

Please do not be offended if any member of our staff refuses to hand out a prescription without the above measures having been taken.
