Ordering repeat prescriptions over Bank Holidays AND Weekends
If you need to order a repeat prescription, please use the NHS app to make a request or use the repeat medication slip detailing what you need (tick the items you want) and place the paper slip into the relevant prescription collection box at reception of your GP practice, during opening hours. The turn-around time for routine repeat medicines is usually 5 working days. Your GP practice or pharmacist will be able to answer your questions and if you prefer it, your community pharmacist (chemist).
Practice staff are not allowed to accept requests for repeat prescriptions over the telephone as this is open to both error and prescription fraud.
Repeat prescriptions are produced by computer and when re-ordering you must ensure you use the repeat slip issued to you at the chemist when you collected your previous medication.
Please allow us 48 - 72 hours to process your prescription and send it to your chosen Pharmacy. They may take a further 24 - 48 hours to have your items ready so please allow the appropriate time.
We are trying to reduce the footfall into the practice so please nominate a pharmacy and we can send them your prescription electronically.
For our housebound patients, our local pharmacists are happy to pick up and deliver prescriptions.
